How to Complete Identity Verification on Hata? A step-by-step guide

Completing individual identity verification is easy! It just takes about 5 mins to complete the process.

• Login to your Hata account. You will be prompted to complete identity verification before you can proceed.

• After that, click [Get Started]

• You may choose to continue performing your identity verification on your computer or choose to continue with your mobile phone. (Mobile phone is always recommended for better picture quality)

• Let us know where you are currently residing. After that select [Continue].

• Please select your nationality and your tax residence country. Then, select [Continue] .
  

• Next, we will require you to perform a liveness check with your identity document.

• Depending on your issuing country, you will need to prepare either your ID card / NRIC (for Malaysians) or passport (for non-Malaysians). Select [Next].

You may choose to [Continue] to take a picture of your identity document and perform the liveness check.

Note: 

• Please ensure your browser’s camera permissions are enabled in your privacy and security settings.

• Please ensure you take your photo in a well lit room.

• Please ensure that your photo is clean, easy to read, not blurry or cut off.

To take a clear photo of your face, please ensure that:

• You look directly at the camera

• Remove your glasses

• Ensure your face is easy to see

• Make sure the photo isn’t blurry

• Next, there will be a few simple questions for you to answer.

• Depending on your status of your account, you might be required to submit the following documents:
  • Source of wealth
  • Proof of address
  • Source of funds
