Common reasons Why I Cannot Send Funds to Hata Global

Only applicable to active and verified Hata Malaysia users looking to activate a Hata Global account. New users can sign up directly at hata.io/signup; the account type provided is based on your registration information.


If you're trying to send crypto from your wallet and notice that the "Send to my own account" option is greyed out, or you're unable to send funds to Hata Global, this article explains the most common reasons why and how you can resolve it:


1. You have not activated your Hata Global account

Even though you already have a verified Malaysian account, cross-platform transfers (e.g., from Malaysia to Global) are only available after you create & activate your Hata Global account. Until then, the “Send to my own account” option will remain greyed out.

2. Your Hata Global account is not fully activated

If you've registered for Hata Global but haven’t completed the full verification process, the cross-platform transfer option will still be disabled. Make sure your Hata Global account has been successfully activated before attempting to send funds.

3. The crypto you're trying to send is not supported on Hata Global

Only selected cryptocurrencies are supported for cross-platform transfers between Hata Malaysia and Hata Global. If the asset you’re trying to send isn’t supported on the receiving platform, the “Send to my own account” option will be unavailable for that specific crypto.



How to activate a Hata Global account

If your Hata Malaysia account is already verified, you will not be required to complete KYC again for your Hata Global account activation. However, you will need to complete a short declaration as part of the activation process. This helps us meet compliance requirements and confirm that: 

  1. Visit the Hata Global Activation Page 

  2. Click “Get Started” to begin the process

  3. Complete the form and submit your declaration
