Having trouble receiving your OTP email?

Modified on Thu, 22 May at 10:43 AM

Overview

Hata uses email-based One-Time Passwords (OTPs) as an added layer of security to protect your account. OTPs are required for key actions such as logging in, withdrawing funds.

To ensure you receive OTPs without delay, here are some simple but important steps to follow.

Best Practices for Receiving OTP Emails

  1. Make sure your inbox has space
Some email services may reject new messages if your mailbox is full, especially free providers like Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook.

  2. Check your spam or junk folders
Occasionally, system-generated emails can be misrouted. Search your inbox for “Hata” , ‘@hata.io’ or 'notifications@no-reply.hata.io if you're unsure.

  3. Add us to your contacts or whitelist our domain
To prevent email blocking, add @no-reply.hata.io and to your contacts.

You can also @no-reply.hata.io in your email settings to ensure future emails land in your main inbox.

  4. Use a reliable email provider
We recommend using established email providers that support fast and consistent delivery for security messages. Avoid temporary or disposable email addresses.

  5. Keep your email address up to date
Double-check that the email linked to your Hata account is active and accessible.

Why It Matters

Your OTP is your key to important account actions - receiving it on time ensures your access remains secure and uninterrupted. By following these simple practices, you can avoid common delays and keep your account protected.
