1. Why is my deposit address changing?
As part of our platform upgrade, we are migrating to a new deposit address system to enhance wallet infrastructure, security, efficiency, and overall user experience. This means that all Hata Global users will be issued new crypto deposit addresses.
2. When will this migration take place?
The migration will occur on 13 March 2025. After this date, any crypto deposits must be sent to your newly assigned deposit address.
3. Will this migration affect my wallet balance?
No, your existing balance will remain unchanged. The only update is to your deposit address.
4. Will there be any downtime during the migration?
While we aim for a seamless transition, there may be a brief period where deposits are temporarily unavailable. Please check our announcement page for any updates.
5. What happens to my old deposit address?
Your old deposit address will no longer be valid for automatic deposits. Any funds sent to the old address after the migration may not be automatically credited to your account.
6. How can I find my new deposit address?
Your new deposit address will be available in your Hata Wallet under the "Receive" section. Please ensure that you update any stored address details accordingly.
7. What should I do if I mistakenly send funds to my old deposit address after the migration?
If you send crypto to your old deposit address after the migration, please contact our Customer Support team. While we may be able to recover and manually reallocate the funds, recovery is not always guaranteed and may take additional processing time.
8. Is there a recovery fee for deposits sent to old addresses?
Depending on the cryptocurrency and the complexity of the recovery, a processing fee may apply. Our support team will provide details if applicable.
9. Do I need to take any action after the migration?
Yes! We strongly recommend updating any saved deposit addresses in external wallets, exchanges, or third-party services to avoid any deposit issues, disruptions or loss of funds.
10. Will my new deposit address ever change again in the future?
While we don’t anticipate frequent changes, deposit addresses may be updated periodically for security and operational improvements. We’ll notify you in advance if any future changes occur.
11. How long will it take to recover funds sent to my old deposit address?
Recovery times can vary depending on the cryptocurrency, network congestion, and the complexity of the retrieval process. We will do our best to recover funds promptly, but it may take several days or longer.
